JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Developer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, and maintaining software applications that meet user needs and business objectives. The ideal candidate is a creative problem-solver with a strong foundation in software engineering principles and a passion for building high-quality, scalable solutions. You’ll work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative products and features in a fast-paced, agile environment.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and product managers to ensure functional and visually compelling software
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices
• Assess user needs and technical requirements to recommend and plan the development or enhancement of systems
• Test and debug applications to ensure performance and reliability
• Evaluate interdependencies between software components to identify and prevent potential issues caused by code changes
• Maintain code quality through regular code reviews and continuous integration
• Document software specifications, updates, and procedures clearly and accurately
• Other related duties as required

 EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:

• At least two years of related experience
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technology field is required
• Experience with any functional programming like Scala
• Knowledge of the Agile software development approach, CI/CD, Gradle, GIT
• Basic knowledge of Machine Learning concepts
• Good knowledge and experience in microservices architecture and orchestration (Kubernetes etc.)
• Verbal and written English communication skills

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently
• Maintain attention to detail and accuracy in coding and testing
• Adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines

• Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Stay updated on emerging web technologies and best practices

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Permanent Full-time, Long-term.

WAGES:  $49.00/Hour

HOURS OF WORK: 40 hours per week

OVERTIME: One and one-half times the regular wage rate as per provincial regulations.

BENEFITS PACKAGE:

• Insurance from Workplace Safety and Insurance Board covered by employer.
• Vacation pay as per provincial regulations will be paid each payday on a semi-monthly basis.
