Position: Shift Supervisor

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise the overall operations of the location during the night shift, ensuring smooth service, including staff management, food safety, customer service, sales, and food quality.
  • Ensure that health, safety, and sanitation standards are maintained, with a special focus on deep cleaning tasks, restocking, and food prep areas during the quieter night hours.
  • Lead and support the night shift team, providing guidance and training to new staff, and ensuring everyone follows Subway's policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory, ensuring that ingredients and supplies are adequately stocked for the night and early morning operations. Place orders as needed and track waste to minimize loss.
  • Coordinate with other shift supervisors to ensure a smooth transition between shifts, maintaining consistent operations 24/7.
  • Resolve customer complaints or special requests in a professional and friendly manner, ensuring all guests have a positive experience.
  • Perform general team member duties when necessary, such as preparing sandwiches, handling the cash register, or maintaining the cleanliness of the dining area.
  • Address any maintenance or equipment issues during the shift and report them to management to ensure the restaurant remains operational.
  • Complete nightly reports and logs, documenting any incidents, feedback, or operational issues that may need to be addressed by day shift management.

 

Job Requirements

  • Relevant education or 1 -2 years of experience in the food service sector.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to resolve complaints and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Ability to handle inventory management, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills to coordinate with staff and management.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math skills for handling cash and completing shift reports.
  • Willing to work night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
