At least 7 months of construction experience is required
Experience as concrete finisher helper is an asset
Must have a valid driver's license
Must have their own vehicle to get to and from the job location/shop
Willing to travel within Ontario.
WHIMIS will be required - not a must to start but they will be required to get it
Must know how to operate pneumatic hammers, vibrators and tampers
Duties:
Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas
Clean and lubricate canes
Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades required at construction sites
Assist in aligning pipes
Assist in drilling and blasting rock at construction sites
Level earth to fine grade specifications using rake and shovel
Remove rubble and other 2debris at construction sites
Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction
Secure special attachments to equipment
Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed
