With over 40 years of industry experience, we specialize in the supply, installation, and maintenance of emergency power systems for residential, commercial, and industrial clients. We are seeking to fill in a permanent full-time position of a Generator Repairer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct preventive maintenance, testing, and repairs on power generation equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Travel to client locations across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and beyond using a company-provided service vehicle.
  • Service a variety of sites, including residential high-rises, public buildings, and industrial facilities.
  • Perform specialized tasks such as load bank testing, oil and filter changes, megger tests, and 5-year maintenance schedules.
  • Respond promptly to emergency service calls, diagnose equipment issues, and implement on-site solutions.
  • Perform hands-on maintenance, installation, and repair of diesel-powered generators and control systems.
  • Work safely in challenging environments, including confined spaces, high elevations, and extreme temperatures.
  • Accurately complete field service reports and maintain thorough documentation.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and team members through effective communication and collaboration.

Wage: $27   per hour

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Completion of Post-secondary diploma of at least 1 year in electrical or mechanical fields
    • Electrical Power Generation Technician Diploma or EGSA Technician Certification is an asset.
    • PM3, OBT licenses, and diesel mechanical license are advantageous.
  • Experience:
    • Recent experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining diesel generators and transfer switches of at least 7 months and more.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of CSA C282-15 Guidelines for Generator Maintenance.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Ability to work in a variety of environments, including confined spaces, heights, and extreme temperatures, indoors and outdoors.
    • Proficient English language skills as English is the language of work
