Job Description

1108190 B.C. Ltd. located in Surrey, BC provides construction services for residential and commercial projects across lower mainland (BC). Currently, we are hiring 5 full time Drywall Installers to join our growing team.

Position Details:

Position:  Drywall Installer

Number of positions: 4

Terms of employment: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: $34.62 per hour

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Work location(s): Candidates are required to work at various job locations in Surrey (BC) and other areas in Lower Mainland (BC).

Job Responsibilities

• Measure cut and fit drywall sheets for installation on walls and ceilings.
• Position and secure drywall sheets to metal or wooden studs.
• Coordinate work procedures for drywall installation and removal.
• Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
• Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound.
• Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in the compound.
• Smooth out the excess compound and allow the coat to dry.
• Install suspended metal ceiling grids and place panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.

Position Requirements

• Completion of secondary school.
• Completion of 3-4 years Apprenticeship program in the trade or a Minimum of 3 years of work experience in a similar trade.
• Ability to communicate in English.
