• College/CEGEP- 2 years diploma in Physiotherapy Assistant is required 

Experience

2 years or more directly working as PTA.

On site

 Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Duties and requirements: 

• Updated Vaccinations as required by current Public Health Ontario guidelines as required for Health Care Professionals
• Work alongside a Physiotherapist and complete delegated acts as directed
• See New patient Consultations or follow-ups including taking a history, general physical exam and Rheumatology exam as trained
• Initiate non- medical treatments ( eg exercises, orthotics recommendation) and giving patient education after discussing with the supervising physiotherapist.
• Fill in Clinical Patient Profiles including, History of Problems, Medical History, Current Medications, Allergies, Family History, etc. for new patients as required by the supervising physiotherapist.
• Complete the dictation as directed by the supervising physiotherapist.
• Other medical duties as required by your supervising physiotherapist.
