JOB TITLE – Production Team Member/General Labourer
GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Production Team Member in the Burnbrae Processing Station, you will have a variety of responsibilities, including cooking, inspecting, and packaging our egg products in a fast-paced, industrial food processing environment. We're looking for people who are detail-oriented, committed to the safety and quality of the food products we produce, and who take the initiative to solve problems.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cooked, controlled, and packaged our eggs and egg products on a production line for various customers.
- Prepare finished products for shipment (e.g., pack, fill out appropriate paperwork, build pallets, etc.).
- Notice details and take action to solve problems while performing repetitive tasks.
- Work independently and as part of a team in a food production environment
- Maintain a positive work environment by cooperating with co-workers and management through the way you act and communicate.
- Communicate regularly with Production operators, co-workers, management, and quality assurance personnel to ensure our facility upholds egg quality standards and produces a quality product.
- Adhere to safe work practices, follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), maintain sanitary conditions, and report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, quality, or personnel safety.
- Follow HACCP practices and promote our safety culture by adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
- Responsible for reporting all incidents, accidents, and unsafe acts or conditions observations.
- Other Duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge of HACCP and GMP would be an asset.
- Safe food handling procedures and use of appropriate PPE
- Previous factory work or equivalent experience
- Ability to work within a team setting as well as independently
- The flexibility to work various shifts, including days, afternoons, and weekends
- Excellent work ethic
- Proven commitment to safety and quality
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well as a member of a team
- Ability to safely lift 30-50 lbs. repeatedly throughout shift while bending and twisting in variety movements
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
WORK EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- High School Certificate or equivalent Preferred
- At least one (1) year of experience in the food industry, food processing is desirable and/or the manufacturing environment is an asset.
- Our plant is an industrial food-processing environment, which requires high temperatures.

From $19.54 – 23.01$ / Hour
Progression through the wage range will occur at regular intervals, based on tasks performed, hours worked, and premiums will be granted for afternoon and weekend shifts.

LOCATION OF WORK
This position is based in Brockville, ON (260 Central Avenue, Brockville, ON, K6V 4N8) and occasionally in Lyn, ON (3356 County Rd. #27, Lyn, ON, K0E 1M0).
