Position Description                                                                                                          

Position: Siding Installer

Type of employment: Full-Time; Permanent

No of positions: 3

Anticipated Start date: As soon as possible

Work Location: Various Locations in Lower Mainland, British Columbia

Salary

Salary: $28.85 per hour

Stable & full-time employment

Job Dutie

• Analyze blueprints and work order details to determine the appropriate layout and installation method.
• Set up scaffolding and other working platforms, ensuring a safe working environment.
• Mark and measure guidelines to ensure precise and accurate installations.
• Prepare underlying surfaces for installation and perform minor repairs to extend installation longevity.
• Install siding on buildings as per specifications and schematics using hand and power tools.
• Cut and trim materials to fit around windows or corners using knives, shears, or portable power saws.
• Follow project specifications and schematics, utilizing both hand and power tools for siding installation.
• Conduct final quality inspections to ensure installed siding meets all project specifications.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions for improving efficiency and work quality.
• Maintain a clean and orderly worksite during and after project completion.
• Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment and coordinate with other trades on-site.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

• Higher Secondary Certificate.
• Prior experience in similar work is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Proficient in English communication.
• Willingness to work outdoors, indoors, and in all weather conditions.
• Physical fitness and stamina to lift and carry heavy objects.
• Dependable, punctual, and committed to delivering quality work.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and precision in measurements.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to perform minor repairs.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in a construction environment.
