Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Latin Dance Instructor & Choreographer to join our team and prepare our students to represent Canada in national and world competitions. The ideal candidate will have a background in Latin dance instruction and a love for all things dance.
Job Type: Full- Time
Salary: $30/hour +
Location: In Studio (Winnipeg)
Duties:
- Plan and conduct dance classes for students of various ages and skill levels
- Teach dance techniques, choreography, and routines
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Provide feedback to students to help improve their skills
- Prepare students for performances and competitions
- Collaborate with other instructors
Experience:
- Have championships as a soloist, couple or group dance in country of residence
- Have participated in at least 2 or more salsa competitions in Canada, representing their country
- Have a minimum of 5 years as a dancer
- Have minimum of 2 years as a professional dancer
Skills:
- Specific knowledge in the style of Salsa on 1/New York style
- Expertise in various dance techniques and rhythms, including cumbia, mambo, pachanga, boogaloo, and cha cha cha
