Securiguard Services Ltd. located at 3292 Production Way Suite 201, Burnaby, BC is seeking an experienced security Guard supervisor for a client site based in Downtown Vancouver at 1067 W Cordova Street, Vancouver
Position Title: Security Guard Supervisor
NOC: 62029 (Other Security Supervisors)
Wage Rate: $ 29.87 hourly
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
No. of Hours: 40 hours per week
Language: English
Start Date of Employment (Approx.): As soon as possible
Minimum Education: Secondary (High) School Graduation Certificate

Job Description:
- Strategically coordinate and assign tasks to security personnel, ensuring optimal coverage and efficiency.
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of security officers' performance, providing constructive feedback and guidance for improvement.
- Implement and manage work schedules and procedures, ensuring seamless integration with other departments and work units.
- Proactively identify, analyze, and resolve complex work-related issues, employing problem-solving methodologies and innovative solutions to ensure sustained operational excellence.
- Prepare and submit detailed progress reports and incident summaries, providing actionable insights and recommendations to management.
- Ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of all security systems and other equipment.
- Oversee the requisition of supplies and materials, ensuring the security team is well-equipped to perform their duties effectively
- Implement training programs, incorporating the industry's best practices, advanced safety protocols, and in-depth company policies to ensure staff are exceptionally well-prepared for their roles.
- Implement quality control measures to monitor security operations
- May perform the same duties as workers supervised.
Requirements
- Experience in commercial building security
- Valid BC security workers licence
- Valid Occupational First Aid Certificate
- Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills
- Excellent Interpersonal skills
- Client Focused
- Organized
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
- The work involves a combination of sitting, standing and walking.
- Must be able to work under pressure.
