We are currently searching for a Fabric Designer. 

Northcott, a well-established and innovative leader in quilting fabrics is currently seeking an experienced Fabric Designer. Fabric fashion design knowledge combined with the ability to illustrate and prepare repeat design and art files for print production, is a must. The ideal candidate will have the ability to self motivated, take initiative, and have the ability to multitask with attention to detail. The candidate will implement skillful product designs and ideas from concept to reality, monitoring timelines and deadlines, and interact with the design and vendors.

This is an on-site position 5 days per week, 37.5 hours.

Duties:

  • Design settings
  • Create and developed prints collection with original art, including landscape, wildlife, abstract surface design, for print and/or patterns exclusive for assigned fabric collections.
  • Present and define the print technic, conventional or digital print, for each artwork designed
  • Manage all color submissions for review and approval by Design Director 
  • Present samples of finished designs to Design Director
  • Review samples and submissions at all stages, ensure critical art/product requirements are met and communicate all revisions
  • Research collections trends, themes, and concepts to develop and demonstrate a clear perspective for the collections

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years work experience 
  • Completion of a college or art school program in Fabric design, Fashion Design, Fine Arts

 

 Terms of Employment:

  • Permanent Position 37.5 per week

 

Hours of Work:

From Monday to Friday  

The shift is from 9 am to 5 pm
