We have a rare opportunity for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join the executive team who will be at the helm of our financial strategy and implementation. The Chief Financial Officer position is responsible for leading, planning, and evaluating the financial planning, reporting, and risk management functions in accordance with applicable plans, bylaws, regulations, policies, and directives. To thrive in this role, you must have deep finance and accounting experience, be a leader, and possess excellent communication and analysis skills.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Skills and Requirements
- A university degree in finance, economics, or administration is required for this position.
- Completion of a Master’s degree in a related field is highly desired.
- CPA designation is a strong asset.
- Work experience withing the manufacturing industry is a strong asset.
- Minimum ten (10) years of proven related experience in a supervisory role in finance or a similar position is required.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in financial reporting, development of financial controls, and budget management.
- Ability to pass and maintain a criminal record check.
- Valid BC Driver’s License.
Additional Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction to the finance team, including managing financial operations, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, treasury, tax planning, and risk management.
- Conduct financial analysis and evaluation of business opportunities to support decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with other departments to develop and execute business development strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders such as auditors, banks, and investors.
- Monitor cash flow, manage working capital, and optimize capital structure.
- Implement effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial performance.
Additional Duties
- Establish objectives for the company and formulate or approve financial policies and programs.
- Authorize and organize the establishment of the department.
- Allocate financial resources to implement company policies and programs; establish financial controls; and approve overall personnel planning.
- Select middle managers for the department.
- Coordinate the work of the financial department.
- Represent the company, or delegate representatives to act on behalf of the company, in negotiations or other official functions.
