Job Description
Innovation Roofing Ltd., a well-known roofing company based at Surrey, BC with many years of experience is looking for one (01) full-time, permanent Roofer (NOC: 73110) to join their team.
- Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time
- Number of Vacancies: 01
- Compensation & Benefits: $29.00/hr for 40 hours per week + 4% vacation pay on each scheduled paycheck.
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Completion of Secondary School is required.
- Experience: 7 months to 1 years of experience is required; on-the-job training will be provided.
- Language: English.
Note: Any further higher education or previous related experience would be considered an asset.
Job Responsibilities:
- Installing different types of roofing systems like asphalt shingles, metal roofs, flat roofs and slate or tile roofs.
- Ensuring that roofing materials are properly aligned and secured for effective water and weatherproofing.
- Inspecting roofs for damage caused by weather, wear and tear, or structural issues.
- Repairing leaks, replacing damaged or missing shingles or tiles, and fixing structural roof problems.
- Applying protective coatings or sealants to prolong the lifespan of roofs.
- Following safety protocols to protect themselves and others, including wearing proper protective gear.
- Conducting detailed inspections of roofs to assess their condition and recommend necessary repairs or replacements.
- Familiarity with specialized roofing materials depending on the project or client requirements.
- Removing old roofs or damaged portions of a roof before new materials are installed.
- Communicating with clients regarding project timelines, costs, and any issues encountered during the roofing process.
